Jaideep Srivastava is a Professor in the Computer Science & Engineering department at the University of Minnesota. He directs a laboratory focusing on research in AI for Healthcare and Computational Social Science. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), has been an IEEE Distinguished Visitor, a Distinguished Fellow of Allina’s Center for Healthcare Innovation, and has been awarded the Distinguished Research Contributions Award of the PAKDD, for his lifetime contributions to the field of machine learning and data mining.
He has authored over 450 papers in journals and conferences, and been awarded 6 patents. Seven of his papers have won best paper awards. His research has been funded by various US federal agencies, as well as the industry. He has held advisory positions with the State of Minnesota, and is advisor to the UID project of the Government of India, whose goal is to provide biometrics-based identification to the 1.40+ billion citizens of India. He has significant industry and entrepreneurial experience, having advised over a dozen large corporations and multiple startups. He has been on the founding teams of three startups, with experience in raising capital, product building, and acquisition. He received his bachelors from IIT-Kanpur, and his MS and PhD from UC Berkeley, all in computer science.
Deepti Pandita MD is the VP of Informatics and Chief Medical Information officer at University of California Irvine Health, and Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at UCI. Dr. Pandita is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in Clinical Informatics. She was previously CHIO and Program Director of the Clinical Informatics Fellowship at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN. She received her Medical Degree from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India and did her residency training at University of North Dakota
Dr. Pandita is a Board member of the American Medical Informatics Association and Chair of the Medical Informatics Committee for the American college of Physicians and Chair for HIMSS Physician Informatics. She also is a member for the Physician Advisory Board for Epic
Deepti also has  a passion for using innovation and technology to improve care delivery for the underserved and marginalized populations and participates in health disparities research more specifically on bridging digital disparities and has published on this topic.
Raj is the vice president of scientific affairs for the MedStar Health Research Institute, the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare director, and a professor at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. As a director, he oversees the Center’s vision and strategy and has overall responsibility for Center activities. He is also an active applied researcher serving as principal investigator on numerous grants and contracts, including three research project grant (R01) awards from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which are among the most prestigious grants. Raj has extensive expertise in health information technology, usability and safety, and artificial intelligence.
The Agency has funded Raj’s research for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), The Pew Charitable Trusts, and industry partners. His work has been published in high-impact journals such as The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and Health Affairs. It has influenced both policy and frontline clinical practice. His research has been featured by Politico, Fortune, Kaiser Health News, National Public Radio (NPR), and many other media outlets. He serves on the federal 21st Century Cures Act Health Information Technology Advisory Committee and has testified to the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. He holds a doctorate in human factors and applied cognition and was a National Research Council post-doctoral fellow at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. He enjoys spending time with family, traveling, distance running, and tennis.
Barry Caplin has over 40 years of experience in information technology, the last 30+ focused on information security. He has held technology and security positions at organizations in a wide variety of industries including at Fairview Health Services, the State of MN, US Bank, US West/Qwest, Boeing Computer Services and United Technologies. Barry has served as a Chief Information Security Officer for over 14 years and has twice been the first CISO for an organization. He has had responsibility for enterprise information security and security technologies, risk management, development and implementation of organization-wide security policy, security architecture, and consistent standards and procedures.

Barry holds an MS in applied mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (aka Virginia Tech) and a BS in mathematics and computer science from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He is an NACD Certified Board Director (NACD.DC), certified information systems security professional (CISSP), information systems security management professional (ISSMP), certified information systems auditor (CISA), certified information security manager (CISM).
